Mary Catherine McClellan Troy, age 82, from Greer, SC formally of Hartford, AL passed away October 29, 2018. She was born February 17, 1936 to Arthur E. and Maddie Green Riley McClellan in Geneva County.

 

Mary is preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, John M. Troy, three brothers, Arthur McClellan, Jr., Lex P. McClellan, and James McClellan, two sisters, Emma M. Zorn Parrish and Betty M. Myers, two brothers-in-law, Herbert Myers, and Harold Zorn and one sister-in-law, Edna McClellan.

 

She is survived by her children: Lisa Troy, Scott Troy, and Brad Troy of Greenville, SC, and Mitch Troy of Spring Hope, NC, grandchildren: Sierra Troy, and Jonathan Troy, one sister-in-law LaVerne (Boo) McClellan of Columbus, GA.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford. Graveside services will follow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979 or Lutheran Hospice, 429 N Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601.

 

Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
