OZARK…Mary Frances Hallford Chandler, a resident of Ozark and formerly of Midland City, Alabama, died Friday morning, December 2, 2016, at her home. She was 76.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2016 in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jenni Hendrix-Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland, at other times, the family will gather at the home of a nephew, Tom Hallford, 208 Atlas Street, Ozark, Alabama.


            Mrs. Chandler, daughter of the late Porter Amon Hallford and Jewell Luverne Kimball Hallford, lived in Midland City most of her lifetime before moving to Ozark in 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Chandler, four children, John Paul Chandler, Jerry Wayne Chandler, Brenda Adkins and Linda Larr, five brothers, Jimmy Hallford, Bill Hallford, Porter Max Hallford, James Earl Hallford and Floyd Hallford, and a sister, Ruby Jean Moon.


              Surviving relatives include two sons, Allen Sumlin, Apopka, FL; and Jody Chandler, Wicksburg; a brother, Edward Gene Hallford (Brenda), Eufaula; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Thomas G. Hallford, Sr., Ozark; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and former husband, Joe Sumlin, Apopka, FL.


               Serving as active pallbearers will be Jerry Hallford, Jay Norred, James Hallford, Robert Osborn, Michael Brown, and Josh Froust.
