MATTIE  HARTZOG  WHITE

MIDLAND CITY. . .Mattie Hartzog White, a resident of Midland City, died Tuesday afternoon, May 1, 2018, at her home. She was 77.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 4, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Danny Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made to The Shriners Hospital For Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

            Mrs. White was born in Columbia and reared in Midland City, daughter of the late Joseph Bright Hartzog and Evelvie Mae “Bobbie” Powers Hartzog. She lived between Headland and Midland City most of her lifetime. Mrs. White was a graduate of Midland City High School and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Norman Lafayette White; a daughter, Marie Whiddon, Headland; two sons, Randy White (Kevin), Headland; and Wayne White (Tanya), Pinckard; six grandchildren, Chris Whiddon (Jamie), Jessica Welch (Matthew), Josh White, Jordan White (Felicia), Chastity Turner (Joseph), and Brandon White; a great-grandchild, Aiden Whiddon.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
