Melba Joyce Buttery of Geneva passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Wiregrass Nursing Home. She was 84 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Dicky McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ida Church Cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garfus and Paril Smith; her husband, Charles Buttery; step-daughter, Dorothy Lyerly; step-son, Larry Buttery; step- great-grandson, David Brewer.

 

Survivors include her step-granddaughters, Renee Brewer and Denise Askisson; step-grandson, John Lyerly; step-great-granddaughters, Crystal Brewer (Wardell Smith) and Sheri Brewer; step-great-great-grandchildren, Coleen, “BB” and Elysain; special friend whom she referred to as her son, Ray Harris; several other extended family and friends.
