Mildred “Millie” Hall, age 82, of Dothan, AL, formerly of Enterprise, AL, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 10, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Bradley Rushing, Pastor Cavin Cawthon and Bro. Danny Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 until the time of the service.

Mildred was born on March 18, 1936 to Arthur and Kathleen Knighten. She had a happy childhood and grew up in Luverne, AL with her older siblings, Wilma and Fred. In 1953, she married the love of her life, T.E. Hall, and together they built a wonderful life. Mildred worked at Dobbs Eye Clinic in Enterprise for over 35 years. She loved her job because it gave her the opportunity to invest in people. She and T.E. were longtime active members of Park Avenue Baptist Church, where they taught Sunday School and were a part of a close and loving community of friends and believers. In 2001, they moved to Dothan to be closer to their children and became members of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mildred and T.E. were married 52 wonderful years before T.E. went home to be with the Lord. Upon T.E.’s passing, Mildred hosted a weekly widow’s Bible study in her home and enjoyed making memories with her friends and family in Dothan. Mildred was a great woman of God who loved Jesus with all of her heart and who lived her life to please Him. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found great delight in spending time with her family. Having the gifts of service and hospitality, Mildred loved hosting friends and company in her home, cooking for people, and ministering to those in need. She loved deeply, prayed faithfully, served sacrificially, and lived joyfully. To know Mildred was to love her and to be loved by her. She truly lived her life well.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, T.E. Hall, her son, Alan Edward Hall, her granddaughter, Tasha Hall Jones, her mother, Kathleen Knighten, her father, Arthur Knighten, and her sister, Wilma Colquitt.

Survivors include: her daughter, Karen Kay Hall Maxwell (Andy) Dothan, AL; her son, Gary Thomas Hall (Roxie) Moss Point, MS; her brother, Fred L. Knighten Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Chad Hall, Erica Creech, Emmy Pierce (Rob), Nick Hall, Wendy Hall McWaters (Curtis), Hannah Maxwell Nelson (Patrick), and Lydia Maxwell; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Weigandt, Haley Weigandt, Macey Hall, Millie Hall, SaraBeth Creech, Sydney Pierce, Ashley Pierce, Brunson Hall, Pittman Hall, Paxton Hanshaw, and Paysen Hanshaw.
