Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

Mr. Anthony Alan Strickland, a resident of Lake Eufaula and formerly of the Bertha Community of Dale County, died Monday, January 7, 2019.  He was forty-four years old.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Traylor officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mr. Strickland was born December 29, 1974 in Enterprise, Alabama. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1993.  Anthony had worked as a poultry farmer for several years before retiring and moving to Eufaula.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and Alabama football.

Survivors include his children, Abbi Strickland of the Bertha Community, Preston Strickland of Eufaula, and Parker Strickland of the Bertha Community; his mother, Susan Reynolds of Enterprise; and his father, Jerry Don Strickland of Ozark.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 4239 County Road 69, Skipperville, Alabama  36374.
