Mr. Bobby Glenn Traylor, age 84, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at his residence following a brief illness.


Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with Reverend Coley Holloway and Mr. Tim Wheeler officiating with Kendall Glover directing.


The family will be receiving friends at Mt. Enon Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Wednesday July 26, 2017, prior to the services.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Enon Baptist Church Building Fund, 3167 Iris Road, Dothan, AL, 36301.


Mr. Traylor was born on October 16, 1932 in Houston County, AL, the son of the late John Angus and Eunice Garrard Traylor.  Mr. Traylor retired from Ft. Rucker after 32 years as an aircraft electronic technician.  During that time, he was employed at Swarovski, DynCorp and Northrop.  Mr. Traylor was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church and attended the Men’s III Sunday School Class.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Army.


Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John Traylor, Lloyd Traylor and Eugene Traylor; two sisters, Mary Tyson and Mildred Jenkins.


Survivors include his wife Theresa “Janie” Godwin Traylor; a son, Mark Traylor of Dothan; a granddaughter, Leah Jernigan, Raleigh, NC; two special nieces, Teresa Medley of Dothan and Lisa Cureton of Dothan; a sister-in-law, Pauline Traylor of Cottonwood; several nieces and two nephews.


Pallbearers will be:  Brandon Cureton, Colton Cureton, Roger Cureton, Derrick Morris, Louie Jenkins, Danny Traylor.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s III Sunday School Class.
