Mr. Cecil Oneal Brown, of Chancellor, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his residence.  He was 82.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Stanley Key officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Cecil was born October 15, 1935, in Coffee County, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanett Tate Brown; his parents, Jim Rufus and Cora Maldin Brown; four sisters, Mary Alice Baxley, Bernice Wilson, Eloise Adkison, and Catherine Tate; two brothers: Don Brown and Rufus Brown.

 

Survivors include two sons: Cecil Junior Brown (Martha) of Enterprise and Jerry Oneal Brown (C.J.) of Chancellor; two brothers: Benny Brown (Sheila) of Chancellor and Billy Charles Brown (Janice) of Enterprise; sister, Betty Jean Burgett of Bay Minette; three grandchildren: Samantha Roy, Neal Brown, and Brandy Peeples; seven great grandchildren: Payton Marsh, Colten Marsh, Hunter Roy, Lilie Roy, Devan Brown, Annie Brown, and Emily Grace Peeples.
