Obituary:  Mr. Charles Max Ryals


 


Mr. Charles Max Ryals of Pinckard formerly of Hartford passed away Sunday December 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. 


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Benji Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.


Mr. Ryals was born February 17, 1950 in Geneva County to the late Hayward Ryals Jr. and Mary Gavin Ryals. Max was a  hard worker who possessed a dry sense of humor. He loved his family and was an avid Alabama football fan. 


In addition to his parents, two brothers: Earl Ray Ryals and Billy Wayne Ryals preceded him in death. 


Survivors include daughter, Tammy Wakefield, Wicksburg; two sons: Lance Ryals, Pinckard and John Wayne Ryals (Connie Proper), Headland; grandson, Jonathan Wayne Ryals; mother of his children, Judy Ryals Knop; two sisters: Janice Dean (Earnest) and Mavis Vickers both of Hartford; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
