Mr. Charlie W. Miles of Dothan passed away Monday, November 6, 2017. He was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 to 10 A.M. Thursday, November 9th, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Westgate Christian School.

Mr. Miles was a member of the Westgate Church of Christ. He was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict and volunteered with the DAV by driving their bus and other activities. He was an avid Alabama Football fan. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife Audrey Miles, parents Wonder Weeden and Bannie Lee Carter Miles, brother Graves Miles sisters Iris O’Farrell, Mary Hall and Pauline Smith.

Mr. Miles is survived by his daughters Sharma Helms (Robert), Sharlene Ward (Mike), son Charlie Miles, Jr. (Cindi),  sister Nadine Chalmers, brother DeKalb Miles ,grandchildren Heather Helms, Tut Helms, Ivye Wilborn, Summer Woodall, Blake Miles, Corie Turner, James Williams,7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and

nephews.

The family would like for everyone to wear their Alabama Colors in honor of Mr. Charlie.
