Grady Wallen Rasnic, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his residence. He was 80.


 


Memorial services for Mr. Rasnic will be held at 3 PM Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Rainbow Meadows church with Pastor Don Clark officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 PM until service time.


 


Mr. Rasnic was born at home November 14, 1935 in Kyles Ford, Tennessee to the late Gaylord and Myrtle Wallen Rasnic. He graduated from Greenview High School in Jamestown, Ohio and after graduation joined the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Rasnic moved to Dothan in the 70’s and worked for and retired from Colonial Baking Company.


 


Mr. Rasnic is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Johnson and a brother, Clinton Rasnic and a grandson, Jamie Ditmer.


 


Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Rasnic; children, Carol Chancey (Tim Barber), Lynn Chancey Fritsch (Don), Nelson Chancey, Monia Chancey Nelson (John), Ron Ditmer, Gary Ditmer (Jackie); grandchildren, Josh Shoop, Rachel Nelson, DeAnna Payne (DWayne), Doug (Jessica) Turner, Michael Ditmer (Angela); great grandchildren, Hunter Payne, Haylee Payne, Shelby Turner, Charlie Turner and Kylie Jackson; brother, Grover “Bud” Rasnic (Judy), sisters, Delores Glass (Larry), Dinah King (David), Darlene LeBlanc (Russ); sister in law, Faye Forehand.
