Mr. Grover S. “Sam” Anglin of Ashford passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the age of 88.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Union Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend James Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday, one hour prior to the service.

 

Mr. Anglin was born June 5, 1930 in Houston County, Alabama to Steve and Anner Anglin. He retired from Disney in Florida and has been a Mason since 1952.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lurlene Dixon, Shirley Dykes and Nellie M. Livingston.

 

Survivors include sisters, Louria Croom, Joyce Brady, Linda Aman and several nieces and nephews.

 

A special thanks to Covenant Hospice and Home Instead Caregivers.

 

Pallbearers will be the Masonic Lodge.
