Mr. Harold Nevels of Geneva, Alabama, passed away April 06, 2018, at the age of 79.


Funeral service will be Monday April 09, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Murray Kelley officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Warren Holloway Ward funeral home directing.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 08, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mr. Nevels was born October 11, 1938 in Alabama to the late Harry and Louise Casey Nevels.  He was a loving father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Alabama “Roll Tide” fan.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lunita McCormick Nevels and two step-daughters, Judy Thomas and Pennie Jackson.


He is survived by three daughters; Tracy (Darryl) Hendrix, of Birmingham, Alabama, Deadra Lambert, and Shana (Carl) Holloway of Geneva, Alabama, two sons; Ross Nevels, Samson, Alabama and Richard Nevels, Enterprise, Alabama,  one brother; Terrell “Shorty” Nevels of Geneva, Al and one sister, Martha Kelley of Dothan, Al;  Nine grandchildren, Alicia Armstrong, Michelle Miller, Kayla Freeman, Josh Thomas, Anthony Nevels, Amber Nevels, DJ Nevels, Riley Hendrix and Emma Hendrix and 6 great-grandchildren.


 


The family would like to thank Nicky King for the care she gave our daddy.
