On April 28, 2017 Harold Ray Sallas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Ray was born January 21, 1950 to Robert and Geraldine Sallas in Dothan Alabama.  The family later moved to Auburndale Florida where Ray graduated from Auburndale High School in 1969.  In 1977 he married his wife of forty years Sandra Stokes Sallas.

Ray worked for Rath Packing Company for 17 years before he and his family moved back to Dothan in 1984.  Ray then worked for Petrey Wholesale until his retirement.

Ray loved being outdoors, working on his truck, fishing and was an excellent handyman, completing projects and remodeling around the house.

Ray is preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Holmes Sallas, and father Robert Sallas.

Ray is survived by his wife Sandra Stokes Sallas, daughter Kristy Sallas Bond, and two grandchildren, Kristin Bond and Jacob Bond.

Ray lived a simple life and loved his family and pets.  He knew death was part of his journey and wanted it to be a simple walk to eternal celebration.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society.

The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice for their services and care.
