Obituary:  Mr. Harry Bass Lee


 


Mr. Harry Bass Lee of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Flowers Hospital. He was 71. 


The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 


At all other times the family will receive friends at the old home place, which is the current residence of his sister, Mrs. Georgia Powell, 1074 Omar Road, Slocomb, AL. 


Mr. Lee was born December 22, 1945 in Geneva County to the late Richmond Lee and Mildred Louise Bass Watson. During his early adult life he was a farmer, then worked at Fort Rucker as an helicopter mechanic until his retirement. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting and taking care of his animals. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all. 


In addition to his parents, one grandson, Noah Lee preceded him in death. 


Survivors include the mother of his children, Sarah Thompson Waters, Slocomb; two sons: Alan Lee (Debbie), Dothan and Frankie Len Lee (Michelle), Slocomb; grandchildren: Ethan Lee, Ashley Lee, Heather Lee, Tony Lee Amber Barron and Justin VanNoy; great grandchildren: Sydney Barron and Braxton Ethridge; two brothers, Stanley H. Watson (Dottie), and Andy N. Watson (Tami) both of Slocomb; one sister, Georgia J. Powell , Slocomb; two step-brothers: Morris Watson (Janis), Wicksburg and Jimmy Watson, Dothan; step-sister, Mozell Smith (Jay), Friendship, Arkansas; one special aunt, Melba McNeil (Carl), Rehobeth; special and dear friend, Faye; nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.


The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and Hospice Care at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
