Mr. James L. “Bud” Trawick of Ashford, AL, age 92, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Johnson and Rev. Adam Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  on Saturday prior to service time.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Union Hill Baptist Church “Building Fund”, 7328 S. Cty. Rd. 33, Cottonwood, AL 36320.

Mr. Trawick was born on April 3, 1927, the son of John Brady and Myrtle Fuller Trawick. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Navy. He worked as a safety director for Ryder Transportation in Birmingham for over 25 years before moving back to Cottonwood 26 years ago. Mr. Trawick was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church in Cottonwood where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Trawick; and a brother, John Ralph Trawick.

Survivors include his sons, John Douglas Trawick (Clara) of Haines City, Florida, James Marshall Trawick (Martha Nan Rush) of Ashford and Joey Wesley Trawick (Martha) of Cottonwood; a brother, Sidney Earl Trawick of Ashford; two grandsons, Joshua Michael Trawick (Ramona) and Travis Wesley Trawick; a granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Trawick; a great-granddaughter, Savanna Nicole Trawick; several nieces and nephews.
