James Michael Bryan, age 59, of Lynchburg, Ohio, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home.

 

He was born February 4, 1958 in Barberton, Ohio the son of the late Edgar M. and Vivian White Bryan.

 

Jim was a Certified Nurse Practitioner, receiving his Master’s Degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama.

 

Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and a step daughter, Darcey Lynn Jones Bryan.

 

He is survived by his husband, Mark Starkey, whom he married on February 12, 2015 in Panama City Beach, Florida; three children, Adam C. Bryan of Moriarty, New Mexico, Cori (Jesse) Baker of Skipperville, Alabama, and Seth (Misty) Bryan of Cottonwood, Alabama; two step-children, Mark A. Starkey of Smyrna, Delaware, and Kristen Starkey of Clayton, Delaware; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Denise) Bryan of Lynchburg, Ohio; three sisters, Connie (Pete) Noble of Stousville, Ohio, Gina (Tom) Quill of Titusville, Florida, and Elizabeth Bryan-Harvey of Dothan, Alabama; eleven nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor George Peelen officiating. Burial will follow in Cottonwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
