Mr. John Charles Hejnar, age 95, of Headland passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016.

 

Born February 26, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Hejnar served his country in the United States Army. He liked to read and rode his bicycle around Headland for 5 miles every morning. He loved working in his yard, taking care of his car, and Philadelphia Eagles football.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Hejnar.

 

Survivors include his wife, Marian Hejnar of Headland and special friends, Don and Margie McCall and Geraldine Heath.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gallagher officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. There will be no visitation.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideon’s at P.O. Box 291, Ozark, AL 36361 DAV at 345 Perry Hill Road, Room 1-116, Montgomery, AL 36109.
