Mr. John Louis Womack, age 90, a resident of Montgomery (formerly of Houston County) died Friday October 13, 2017 at his residence after a brief illness.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday October 16, 2017 at the Howard Grove FW Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends prior to services at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions may be made to the Howard Grover FW Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5824 S. Co. Rd. 55, Ashford, AL. 36312.

Mr. Womack was born on October 7, 1927 in Houston County the son of Lewis Andrew Womack and Reatha Mae Adams Womack.  He was a 1946 Graduate of Cottonwood High School and was a member of the Howard Grove FW Baptist Church.  Mr. Womack worked for a few years with the Dothan Police Department  and retired as a Game Warden with the State of Alabama after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Wright Womack; 1 sister, Carolyn Meadows; 4 brothers, Ray, Bobby, Rex and Don Womack.

Survivors include: daughter, Judy Snell (Gerald), Gordon; sister, Sue Hall, Cottonwood; brother, Tommy Womack (Thedus), Gordon; several nieces and nephews.
