Obituary: Mr. Johnnie Ralph Ward

 

Mr. Johnnie Ralph Ward of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his home.  He was 85.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

 

Mr. Ward was born February 16, 1933 in Dale County to the late William Johnny and Nettie Gavins Ward.

 

In addition to his parents, three sisters: Mildred Ellen Hall, Sarah Kate Belmont and Linda Sue Thweatt and two brothers: Jerome Ward and Johnny Paul Ward all preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his children: Jo Tiffany Wells (Fredrick) and Jimmy Rex Ward; siblings: Louise Greer, Dothan, Patsy Steverson, Brenda Stanford (Dean) and Jerry M. Ward (Kathy); grandchildren: Jonathan Gabriel Ward, Jordan James Seagle and Keesha McCall; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
