Obituary: Mr. Kenneth E. Ridenhour


 


Mr. Kenneth E. Ridenhour of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 75.


 


Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Royce Morrow officiating.  Interment will follow in the Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.


 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 am until service time.


 


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Kenneth’s memory with your contribution to the Burns Assembly of God Church or Dayspring Hospice.


 


 Mr. Ridenhour was born November 13, 1942 in Russell County.  Kenneth was engaged in farming for all of his life and was a member of Burns Assembly of God Church.  Kenneth was a loving husband, adoring father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Sybil Ingram Gibbons.


 


Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Anglyn Ray Ridenhour; sons: Steven Ridenhour and his wife Wendy and Clint Ridenhour and his wife Bobbie Jo; granddaughters: Hayley, Josie, and Jennie; grandsons: Jamie (Brandy), Jeremy, and Jesse; sister, Ann Hollis (Mancel); nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.


 


Pallbearers will be Jamie Ridenhour, Jeremy Ridenhour, Stacy Boyette, Patrick Ray, Scott Ray, and Michael Wiebold.  The members of the Burns Assembly of God Men’s Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.


 


The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the nurses and technicians on the fourth floor of Flowers Hospital and the following wonderful doctors: Dr. Justin Hovey, Flowers Medical Group, Dr. Scott McAllister, Dothan Hematology and Oncology.
