Mr. Larry Clark of Slocomb, AL passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his home. He was 65.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating  and Rev. John Pounders delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Slocomb with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive at the funeral home on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.


 Mr. Clark was born in Opp, AL on January 29, 1952 to Rudolph and Lucile Robbins Clark. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother. He attended Geneva High School, Class of 1970.  During his working career, he was an over the road truck driver and also served as a funeral director in his earlier years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, “Roll Tide”!!! Larry was truly a man of faith.


 He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucile Clark, and one brother, Paul Clark.


 He is survived by his wife, Gayle Smith Clark of Slocomb; two daughters, Misty and Amy Clark both of Slocomb; his special fur baby, “Butterball”; father and step-mother, Rev. Rudolph H. and Lanette Clark of Slocomb; one brother, Rev. Carlos Clark (Sheila) of Geneva; special nieces, Melissa Clark Hendrick and Jessica “J.J.” Clark, other nieces and nephews, Deanna Beck, Dalisha Herring, Shannon Holton, Brian Smith, Lauren Chandler, Eve Baltzell and John Allen Phillips; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dianne Herring, Grady and Diane Smith, Danny and Melita Smith, and Sarah and Charlie Phillips. Serving as pallbearers; Scotty Harrison, Eddie “Willie” Smith, Gilberto “Poncho” Zepeda, Jerry Grantham, Tony Helms, Gary Grantham, Rev. Stephen Hendrick and Charlie Phillips, honorary pallbearers; Rev. Carlos Clark,  Sam Grantham, Gordon Grantham, Terry Taylor and Rev. J C Barberee.
