Mr. Larry Dewayne Thomley, of Dothan, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was 69.

 

Born September 8, 1948 in Dothan to the late J. D. and Helen Green Thomley, Larry served his country in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time watching both his children and grandchildren play softball.

 

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Thomley Smith.

 

Larry is survived by his wife, Sheila Thomley; his daughters, Kim (Chuck) Holley and Kerri (Stacey) Sheffield; his grandchildren, Jenna Holley, Emma Grace Holley, Loren Sheffield and Lia Sheffield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, March 16, 2018 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Todd Thorpe officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service.

 

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN  38148-0142
