Mr. Larry Patterson Sr. of Hartford, Alabama, departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the age of 69 after battling a long time illness at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Trinity Baptist Church in Geneva, Alabama with Pastor Gene Hauser officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Trinity Baptist Church.

Mr. Patterson was born August 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Leana Jackson and Lucious Patterson, both preceded him in death.  Larry attended Farragut High School and after graduation he pursued a career in Radiology Technician.  Larry worked in Social Services as a Social worker for Abused Children. Larry left Chicago and made his home in Hartford, Al. where he met and married Mary Jo Threats, in 2004.

Preceded in death by parents and a brother; Clarence Patterson.

In departing his life Larry leaves to mourn him, his wife; Mary Jo Patterson, Hartford, Al, two sons; Tyree Patterson (Monica) Orlando, Fl. and Larry Patterson Jr. (Brandy) Orlando, Fl., and one daughter; LaDonna Patterson, Chicago, IL and one step-son; Damon Threats, Hartford, Al., two sisters; Theresa Smith and Gina Smith both of Chicago, IL., six grandchildren, four nieces, three nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, and LAvada and Toni closest friends who was raised as his sisters.
