Obituary:  Rhett Poole Solomon

Mr. Rhett Poole Solomon of Glencoe, Alabama passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in Birmingham. He was 62.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend David Parrish and Dr. Lawrence Phipps officiating. Memorialization by cremation will follow after the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Mr. Solomon was born January 1, 1955 in Dothan, Alabama to Alvin Lee and Jean Poole Solomon. He owned and managed A.F.G. Energy Solutions.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Lee Solomon; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. J.B. Poole, Mr.& Mrs. C.T. Solomon.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Phyllis H. Solomon, Glencoe, AL; two sons, Eric Solomon (Joanne), Enterprise, AL, Chris Solomon (Felecia), Enterprise, AL, Sheena Landers (Brandon), Gadsden, AL; his mother, Jean Poole Solomon, Enterprise, AL; one brother, Darrel Solomon (Brenda), Oklahoma City, OK, one sister, Alice Solomon; grandchildren: Kendall Solomon, Kennedy Solomon, Dustin Wallace, Presley Thomas, Chapman Rhett Solomon,  McKenzi Landers, Randi Landers.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
