Richard Malone Busby of Bonifay Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017.  He was 80.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Oak Grove Pentecostal Ministries with Rev. Tracy Hobbs officiating.  Burial will follow at Whitewater Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

 

Mr. Busby was born in Holmes County, Florida on September 20, 1937, to the late Jessie and Lucille Busby. He enjoyed fishing and socializing with friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Banton Busby; daughters, Teresa Diane Busby and Melissa Ann Logston; one brother, Jerome Busby; and one step-son, Terry Donnell McMillen.

 

He is survived by three sons, Duard F. Rock and wife Vicki of Bonifay, FL, Marion L. Rock of Brooksville, FL and Timothy G. Rock and wife Louise of Westville, FL; one daughter, Genita Bell Carlisle of Bonifay, FL; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
