Lloyd Richard “Rick” Weeks, age 68, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016.  He was born in Dothan, Alabama on July 9, 1947, to Lloyd Hubert Weeks and Sara Elizabeth Alberson. 

Rick enjoyed playing golf, billiards, and all sports, and was an avid fan of Alabama football.  He was a member of Geneva High School’s Class of 1965, where he played football, basketball, and baseball.  While growing up in Geneva, Rick was a member of the First Baptist Church.  

Rick especially enjoyed his last nine years, serving as a professional caddy for the PGA Tour’s TPC Sawgrass golf course in Jacksonville, Florida – the home of the PLAYERS Championship.  He was honored as 2012 Caddy of The Year.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Greg Weeks.

Rick is survived by three children, Tamila “Tami” Weeks, Richard “Rickey” G. Weeks (Tonya) and Cynthia “Cyndi” Weeks Miller; one brother, Michael “Mike” Weeks; stepfather, James A. “P.A.” Alberson; seven grandchildren, Greg and Jeff Durant, Christopher and Kirra Weeks, and Cody, Daniel and Sarah Miller; great-grandson, Gregory; uncle, Pittman Peel (Peggy); and nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Geneva with Dr. Edwin E. Scott officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Autism Surfs, 43 Stowe Rd, Mary Esther, FL 32569.
