Mr. Robert Earl Dasinger, age 81, a resident of Taylor, died Friday January 13, 2017 at the SAMC after a brief illness.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Hwy. 431 N.) with Reverend John Sanders officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:45 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Dasinger was born on September 5, 1935 in Grimes the son of Alton Parker Dasinger and Bea Pearce Dasinger. He was retired as a supervisor with Great Northern (Georgia Pacific) after 23 years of service. Mr. Dasinger was a 1955 graduate of Wicksburg High School. He also served in the Air National Guard and was of Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Survivors include: wife, Jo Ann Baker Dasinger, Taylor; son, Eddie Dasinger (Kathi), Dothan; daughter, Teresa Tyson (John Paul), Rehobeth; sister, Betty Collins, Dothan; brother, Buford Dasinger, Lawton, OK.; 4 grandsons, Lee Dasinger, Wesley Tyson, Jeffrey Tyson and Ben Dasinger; 2 great-grandchildren, Lilly Tyson and Braelyn Dasinger; several nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Lee Dasinger, Wesley Tyson, Jeffrey Tyson, Ben Dasinger, Raymond Irons and Jerry Roberson.
Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
