Ronald “Ronnie” Sellers, a resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his residence. He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Oakey Grove Baptist Church in Newville, Alabama. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11:15 AM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Haleburg Rescue, 10371 George H. Grimsley Hwy, Columbia, AL 36319.

Ronnie was born December 27, 1945 in Panama City, Florida to the late James W. and Margaret Kirkland Sellers. He was raised in Columbus, Georgia and later moved to Headland where he owned and operated Sellers Garage. Ronnie had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a master mason with Browns Crossroads Masonic Lodge 529.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Sellers.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Sellers; son, Ronald A. Sellers (Susan); three daughters, Rhonda Sellers, Amanda Brackin, Amy Shepard (Jason); seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins and a dear friend, Pete Lee.
