Mr. Thomas Earl Love, age 83, a resident of Dothan, died Friday June 24, 2016 at the SAMC following a brief illness.


Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday June 27, 2016 at the Union Hill Baptist Church in Cottonwood with the Reverend Kyle Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.


The family will be receiving friends from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Union Hill Baptist Church Monday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Union Hill Baptist Church, 7335 S. Co. Rd. 33, Cottonwood, AL. 36320.


Mr. Love was born on November 10, 1932 in the Love Hill community the son of Pal Thomas Love and Ruby Burdeshaw Love.  He was retired after over 30 years in the Plumbing and Electrical business where he worked for Builders Home and later in business for himself at Love’s Plumbing.  Mr. Love was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church and was a 1951 graduate of Cottonwood High School.  He loved gardening, farming, driving trucks and tractors. 


He was preceded in death by his parents.


Survivors include: Wife of 53 years, Lois Anderson Love, Dothan; daughter, Leticia Love Cunningham, Headland; son, Ashley Earl Love (Krysta), Dothan; sister, Mary Alice Love, Graceville, FL.; 4 grandchildren, Brandt Cunningham, Cienna Love, Arayna Love and Gabriel Love.


Pallbearers will be: Scotty Hyatt, Wayne Hyatt, Michael Hyatt, Mark Cunningham, Mickey Anderson and Jimmy Maddox.


Honorary pallbearer will be Raymond Anderson.


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
