Mr. Thomas Paul Hicks, age 75, a resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 15, 2018 at the Hicks Family Cemetery at Old Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, 1546 Rocky Creek Road, Ashford, Alabama, 36312, with Reverend Greg Cooper officiating and Kendall Glover directing. The family will be receiving friends Monday, May 14, 2018 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted or contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Parkway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL. 36303 or to one’s favorite charity.

Mr. Hicks was born on May 30, 1942 in Gordon, Alabama, the son of Robert Lewis and Lomie Ritter Hicks.  He was retired as an electrician and project manager in the construction industry following 42 years of service.  Mr. Hicks served in the Alabama National Guard for six years and was of the Assembly of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Reverend Robert (Bobby) Hicks and Reverend Jerry Hicks.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Linda Fay Gay Hicks, Dothan, AL; 3 daughters, Stacey Albright (Jeff), Auburn, AL.; Michelle Owens (Dolan), Marianna, FL.; Lisa Hart (Steve), Oakman, AL.; 3 grandchildren, Christa Woods, Oakman, AL.; Stephen Hart, Oakman, AL.; Kyra Albright, Auburn, AL.; 2 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mackenzie Woods both of Oakman, AL.; 2 sisters-in-law, Mae Hicks, Prattville, AL. and Sue Dobbs, Clanton, AL.

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Porterfield, David Hicks, Jerry Mosley, Dolan Owens, Jeff Albright and Dick Post.
