William Travis Watson, 78, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of North Florida.

The family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Friendship Assembly of God, 335 Friendship Lane in Dothan, AL with memorial services starting at 11AM with Reverend Jerry Norris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Assembly of God or your local Alzheimer’s Association.

Travis was born in Skipperville, Alabama to the late Foy Watson and Clyde Watson Watkins. He was retired from active Army Reserve after serving 30 years. Travis was a founding member of Friendship Assembly of God. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle.

Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his parents Foy and Eura Clyde Johnston Watson; two brothers, James and Talmadge Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Watson; two daughters, Amanda Frost (Gregg) of Madison, AL, Debbie Tubbs (Danny) of West Virginia; five grandchildren, Evan Frost, Michael Wilson, Danielle Kerns, Christopher Hansen and Madison Tubbs; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Watson, Newton, AL; sister, Sarah Harper (Carey), Rock Hill, SC; nephews, Raymond Watson and David Cunningham; niece, Shannon Eastridge.
