Mrs. Barbara Foretich Caldwell, a resident of Dothan died February 2, 2019 peacefully at home. She was 88.


Mrs. Caldwell was born December 25, 1930 in Gulfport, Mississippi to the late Haven D. Foretich and Frankie Brown Foretich. She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John T. Caldwell, Sr.


She is survived by her sons, Dr. John T. Caldwell, II and wife, Peggy of Panama City, Florida, Walter Hamilton Caldwell and wife, Connie of Dothan, Alabama, and Mark Caldwell and wife, Helen of Enterprise, Alabama; her grandchildren, Dr. Haven Lindsay Caldwell Sachar, Ryan Thomas Caldwell, John D. Caldwell (Aquilla), Mark B. Caldwell, Sierra V. Caldwell, Mandy Caldwell Jones, Jonathan Caldwell, Michael Caldwell, and Jennifer McNamara; her great-grandchildren, Amelia Wynne Sachar, Jasmine K. Caldwell, Mackenzie E. Caldwell, Joseph O. Caldwell, Jocelyn M. Jones, Eli J. Jones, Hannah G. Jones, Griffin T. Caldwell, Trey G. Caldwell, Zander L. Caldwell, Kurt A. Caldwell, Delaney Caldwell, Shane Caldwell, and Kayla McNamara; numerous other relatives and friends.


A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 8, 2019 from the St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Memory Hill Cemetery.
