Obituary: Mrs. Dollie Austin


 


Mrs. Dollie Austin from Wicksburg passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Flowers Hospital. She was 75.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Hood officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.


 


The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.


 


Mrs. Austin was born March 24, 1942 in Houston County to Clara Mae Nall Parker and the late Robert Cullen Parker. She was in the accounting business for over 35 years. Dollie loved her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.


 


In addition to her father, her nephew, Larry Parker preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Foyette Austin, Wicksburg; her daughter, Shanda Battles (Kevin), Wicksburg; her son, Lee Austin (Christi), Wicksburg; four grandchildren: Kayla Medley, Leeah Austin, Tyler Johnson and Trent Austin; her mother, Clara Mae Parker, Hartford; her sister, Sarah Parker Blackburn, Hartford; her brother, Dennis Parker (Diana), Texas; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
