Edna L. Moore of Ozark, AL, departed this life on September 22, 2017.

 

Mrs. Moore was born in Pansey, AL. on November 27, 1928, and was one of eight children to the late Effie and Walter Chestnut. She was married to William Charlie Moore for 71 years. Mrs. Moore enjoyed gardening, cooking, family and friends. She will leave a hole in the hearts of many.

 

She is preceded in death by her loving son, Charles Moore; sisters, Maggie Hatfield and Vivian Bingham; brothers, James Chestnut, Dewey Chestnut, and Roswell “Buddy” Chestnut.

 

Survivors include her husband, William Charlie Moore, of Ozark; daughter, Judy Shinholster, of Ozark; sisters, Ruth Dovre (Howard Dovre, deceased) of Ashford,  and Joyce Hasty (Edward Hasty) of Orangevale, CA.; grandchildren, Stephanie Gilland (Tim Gilland), Michael Moore ( Angie Moore), Stacy Cupples ( Michael Cupples), David Moore  ( Colleen Moore), and  Brain “ Bo” Shinholster; great-grandchildren, Sydney Nicholson, Brianna Barbato, Spencer Gilland, Parker Gilland, Caroline Crowley, Gracy Cupples, Chloe Reese Cupples, Ethan Moore, Liam Moore.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
