Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Elouise Johnson Standifer, of Newton, went to be with Jesus Thursday morning, October 19, 2017.  She was 94.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 21, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Pastor Tommy Giddens and Pastor Terry Howard officiating.  Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Standifer was born April 17, 1923 in Alma, Georgia to the late J. C. and Mamie Johnson. She was a pastor’s wife for thirty years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Phillip Franklin Standifer; and her granddaughter, Callie Joanna Standifer.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Glenda Standifer, Phillip and Barbara Standifer all of Newton; her five grandchildren, Selina (Randy) Smith, Jeffery (Joy) Standifer, Starla Farris, Joshua Standifer, Brianna (Jason) Deal; her seven great grandchildren, Isabelle Standifer, Sawyer Andrews, Micayla Farris, Emily Standifer, Lydia Standifer, Maddi Standifer, and Hannah Deal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newton Assembly of God Church Children’s Ministry, 147 Edwards Street, Newton, Alabama  36352.
