Mrs. Emma Lou Richmond Harrell, of Rehobeth, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016. She was 85.


 


Born August 12, 1931 in Van Buren, AR to the late Virgil Richmond and Tessie Braswell.  Mrs. Harrell was a member of Christian Lighthouse Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and shopping. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.


 


Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Harrell, four brothers, VR Richmond, Bill Richmond, Paul Richmond, and Harold Richmond; 2 sisters, Katherine Scott and Josephine Cox; and son-in-law, Jimmy Aplin.


 


She is survived by her son, James Harrell (Kathy); her daughters, Jackie Harrell of Rehobeth, Janice Collins (Marty) of Rehobeth, Judith Harrell of Rehobeth, Jennifer Aplin-Sewell (Jamie) of Birmingham, AL, Dawn Cobb (Scotty) of Rehobeth and Nicoel Roberts (Chad); her sister, Elizabeth Mason of Van Buren, AR; her grandchildren, Kelli Williamson (Kevin), Jodi Harrell, Jimmy Aplin (Sabrina), Christie Hudson ( Johnny), Brooke Pettis (Jeremy), Missy Shelley (Greg), Jamie Harrell, Jenna Deese (Tony), Brandon Cobb, Dalton Roberts, Dustin Roberts; great-grandchildren, William, Bella, Jadyn, Sydney Rose, Maylee, Tyler, Cooper, Poppy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; a special friend, David Skipper, and caregiver, Debra Culver.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, December 26, 2016 at Big Creek Methodist Church with Pastor Tony Deese and Brother Travis Free officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service.


 


The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Big Creek Methodist Church or Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl. New York, N.Y., 10001.
