Mrs. Hilda Lorraine Kilgore Bostick, 94, formerly of Dothan, passed away on May 8, 2017 in Summerfield, Florida.
Born October 2, 1922 in Dothan, Alabama and lived in Panama City, Florida from 2002 until 2009 and Summerfield, Florida since 2009.
Hilda worked for many years at Kress and Woolco Department Stores. She loved helping out on the family farm and enjoyed spending time with her family. Hilda’s favorite hobbies were playing bingo and spoiling kitty cats. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church for many years.
Hilda is survived by her daughter Nina Carol (Charles) Plesner of The Villages, Florida; grandson, Carl Edward (Cynthia) Plesner of Leesburg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Bernard Samuel Bostick; her parents, Elisha and Mittie Ham Kilgore; sisters, Lillie Kilgore Griggs, Ammie Kilgore Wilkins, Rosa Mae Kilgore Newton; and brothers, Robert Kilgore and Jesse Kilgore.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
