Mrs. Jacqueline Clayton Floyd, age 65, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at Glover Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 4:30 with Reverend John Smith officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.

Mrs. Floyd was born June 27, 1952 to the late William Clayton Fails and Dolly May Crumpler in Dothan.  She was a graduate of Webb High School and attended Wallace College where she became a licensed cosmetologist.  Mrs. Floyd was also employed as a school bus driver at Cottonwood High School.  She enjoyed swimming and raising her chihuahuas.  Mrs. Floyd was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years James Huey Floyd; her son James  Huey Floyd, III of Fleming Island, FL; a daughter Jacqueline Killingsworth of Dothan; a brother Justice Bigbie of Temple, TX; and four grandchildren James Floyd, IV, Jessica Floyd, Kaylie Hicks and Clayton Hicks.

A special thank you to the Cottonwood Police Department, Cottonwood Rescue, Dothan Fire and Rescue, Pilcher’s Ambulance, Houston County Sheriff’s Department including Chaplin Holland and Max and Mary Brantly.
