Mrs. Janice J. Alford of Samson passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was 73. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Danny Branch officiating. Burial will follow at Reece Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Alford was born in the Goodman Community on March 19, 1944, to the late Hardy and Agnes Adkison. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed tending to her garden and going fishing with her husband. She was preceded in death by one son, Welton Cliff Alford; and her four sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Alford; one son, Eric Alford; one grandson, Zack Alford, all of Samson; three brothers, Don (Diane) Adkison of New Brockton, AL, Charles Adkison and Othar (Elizabeth) Adkison, all of Blakely, GA.
