Mrs. Jessie May Collins, age 91, of Cozy Cove Place, Blairsville, GA and formerly of Dothan, AL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 19, 2017 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Collins was born on January 15, 1926 in Richmond, RI, the daughter of the late Percy Bliven and the late Lucy Taylor Bliven. Jessie was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had volunteered at the S. E. Medical Hospital for over 25 years. Jessie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dothan where until recently she served in numerous ways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Eugene Collins in 1982 and also six siblings.

Mrs. Collins is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Robert Snow of Blairsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Vanessa Collins of Summerdale, AL; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mickey and Lee Luzzier, and Dorothy Crawford, all of Florida; two grandchildren, Steve Snow, Kent and Mary Collins; five great-grandchildren; a host of her church family, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2017 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mark Kocsis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband, Arthur. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM, prior to the service.
