Mrs. Lillie Shelley Kimble, age 83, a resident of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Ashford City Cemetery in Ashford with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to one’s favorite charity in her name.

Mrs. Kimble was born on February 18, 1934 in Henry County, Alabama the daughter of John and Beatrice Bond Shelley.  She graduated from Ashford High School in 1952.  Mrs. Kimble was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ashford and was a homemaker and daycare provider most of her adult lifetime. 

Mrs. Kimble was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Thomas Kimble; 4 brothers Jimmy Joe Shelley, Ralph Shelley, Terry Shelley and Marcus Shelley; 2 sisters Katie Watson and Nell Shelley.

Survivors include her son Allan Ray Kimble of Dothan and special friend Robert Wileman of Dothan; 2 sisters Mary Ann Cosby (Willis) of Abbeville and Donnie Hayes (Fred) of Ashford; special caregivers Pam Temple and Cori York.
