Mrs. Linda Annette Atkinson Waters passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 72.


Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva, Alabama with the Rev. Bob Cob officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. No visitation will be held.


Mrs. Waters was born September 3, 1943 to the late James Mack Creel and Iva Ruby Atkinson in Columbus, Ga.  She was a member of the Hacoda Baptist Church, an avid flower lover, loved working in her yards, loved children and worked in the Virginia Beach School System as a lunchroom lady. 


She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Jack & Pete Creel and two sisters: Hellen Griffin & Minie Dungamen.


She is survived by her husband of 54 years Billy R. Waters of Kinston, Al., two brothers:  James E. Creel (Gloria) Glenburnie, Md. Jesse Atkinson (Myra) Lakeland, FL and two sisters: Ruby Funderberk (Raymond) Kingman, Az and Tina Johns (Darrel) of Samson, Al. one sister-in-law: Karen Creel of Lakeland, Fl.  A number of special nieces and nephews.
