Mrs. Linnie “Bobbie” Paul Smith, age 99, formerly of Ashford, AL passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Naples, FL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends to share memories at 10:30 AM, prior to the service.

Bobbie Smith was born in Ashford, AL on June 1, 1917, the youngest of 13 children. As a young adult she moved to Florida where she later married E. B. Smith and lived in Copeland, FL until the mid 70’s. She and E. B. returned to Ashford where they lived on the same street where she grew up. They enjoyed their retirement years there until 2009 when they moved back to Florida to live with their daughter in Naples. Bobbie was a member of Dothan First SDA Church.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, E. B. Smith and her parents, Jeremiah Paul and Amy Clemera Lingo Paul.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Benfield of Naples, FL; her son, Marvin (Sheila) Smith of Cheyenne, WY; her grandchildren, Karen Shell, Timothy Williams, Susan Smith-Taylor, and Jane Smith; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Shell, Kristina Robinson, Jarrah Smith-Taylor and Zane Smith-Taylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.
