Mrs. Malva Lee Meeks Pinkerton of Geneva, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Westside United Methodist Church, Geneva, Alabama, with the Rev. Chip Oakley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  Visitation will be held at Westside Methodist Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until funeral time.

Mrs. Pinkerton was born in Geneva County, Alabama, December 26, 1935 to the late Jessie Cecil and Alzie Icie Lee Nelson Meeks.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved working with flowers in her yard, fishing in her backyard, while living in Lynn Haven, loved to bowl and was a member of a bowling league and Christmas was her favorite time of year. She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Lorell Pinkerton and five siblings; Ara Bowden, Jessie Alma Reeves, Bobby Meeks, Grady Meeks and Hayward Meeks.

 

She is survived by; her daughter; Jan (Rocky) Motley, Geneva, Alabama ; son; Jim Pinkerton, Geneva, Alabama and two grandchildren; Eddie Motley (Kerri Pylant), LeeAnn Fink (Casey), Geneva, Alabama,  two greatgrandchildren; Kaylee and Trooper, sister; Syble Harrison (Calvin Warren) Opp, Alabama, brothers; Charles Meeks (Josephine), Troy, Alabama, Cecil Meeks, Irving Texas and Ray Meeks (Ouida) Windermere, Florida.
