Mrs. Martha Jane Jenkins, age 76, of Dothan passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church; she loved her family first and foremost. She was a devoted wife for 59 years to her husband who passed away 5 weeks ago. She loved to cook and was a caregiver to many that she loved. She had a great love of flowers and making crafts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Neal Jenkins; sisters, Mary Wilson, Jenny Hixon; brothers, Pat Morris, George (Bubba) Morris, Jack Morris.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Sims (Mack) of Rehobeth, AL; sons, Reverend Larry Neal (Martha) Jenkins of Prattville, AL, Gary Jenkins (Stephanie) of Pansey, AL.; sisters, Yvonne DeKalb (Don) of Warner Robins, GA; brothers, Jim Morris (Evonne) of Bay Town, TX, Bobby Morris ( Lynn); grandchildren, Jessica Sims, Abigail Sims, Hannah Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Garrison Jenkins, Drew Bynum; great-grandchildren, Christopher Stanhope; and many more close and special friends.
Pallbearers: Garrison Jenkins, Gary Roney, Mack Sims, David Colvin, Riley Snell, Braden Snell.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Skidmore and Reverend Ray McKenzie officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 6 – 8 PM. The family will also be receiving friends starting at 9 AM, one hour prior to the service time. Burial will follow at Union Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Pansey Alabama
