Mrs. Maxine Cason of Cottonwood was called home to be with her family in heaven on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was 94.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church in Newton with Chaplain Jack Wingate officiating. Burial will follow in the  Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include son Frank Cason of Cottonwood; daughters Virginia Yates of Cottonwood; Joyce Toombs (Walt) of Mission, TX; Susan Scott (Dennis) of Cottonwood; brothers William Odom (Carol Ann) of Lynn Haven, FL; Bill Odom (Sherry) of Melbourne, FL.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
