Mrs. Pamela J. Hartwick, of Enterprise, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, at her home following an extended illness.  In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, a private service was held on Sunday, January 7, 2018, with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.


Pam was born and raised in Purvis, Mississippi and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattisburg, Mississippi, with a degree in Radiologic Science.  She moved to Alabama to take employment as a radiologic technologist at Lyster Army Hospital and retired in 2007.


An active person, she enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a member of the Enterprise Ballroom Dance Club.  She was an accomplished cook, a passionate advocate for animal rescue and no-kill animal shelters, enjoyed movies, and Auburn football.  A loving wife and mother, her greatest passion was her family.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex O. Purvis and Irene Harris Purvis, three brothers, Don B. Purvis, Harris Dale Purvis, and Paul Darrell Purvis.


Survivors include her husband of nearly 39 years, Dwain D. Hartwick of Enterprise; her daughter Elizabeth E. Campbell (Robert) of Auburn; her son Michael P. Hartwick of Enterprise; her sister, Ilene Purvis Bloxsom (Jim) of Dothan; and two grandchildren Emery and Oliver Campbell of Auburn.
