Mrs. Reathell Childs Galloway, age 93, of 591 Grover Road, Hartford, Alabama died Saturday, June 03, 2017, in the Wiregrass Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home Geneva, Alabama with the Dr. Mike Shirah officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be at the funeral home, Monday morning, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Galloway was born January 29, 1924 in Geneva County Alabama to the late John Angus and Allie Jane Fulford Childs.  She was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.  She loved to sew, paint, dance, read, and travel. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Thomas Elias Galloway.

Family request that flowers be omitted and donations be made to the Maple Avenue Baptist Church of Geneva, Alabama.

She is survived by her four children: Rachel Hepburn, Melbourne, Florida, Thomas Galloway (Amelia), Brundidge, Alabama, Louise Vaughan(Oscar), Geneva, Alabama and Sandra Deitrick, Lehigh Acres, Florida, one sister: Frances Mims, Dothan, Alabama, eight grandchildren: Teresa Munoz, Eric Vaughan, Alex Vaughan, Brant Vaughan, Shan Cichosz, Stephanie Ruiz, Kim Karel and Denna D’Haeseleer, and nine great-grandchildren: A.J. and Tatiana Munoz, Thomas, Addie, and Hayden Vaughan, Michael, Alaina, and Nicole Malerba and Beau Burak.
