Mrs. Sarah Margaret Short Woodham, age 90, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Hwy. 43l N.) with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to assist with the hurricane relief.

Mrs. Woodham was born in Geneva County on November 2, 1926 to John Kenyon and Claudia Trawick Short.  She was employed as a machine operator with Ansell for 20 years.  She loved to be at home and cooking and was able to spend most of her life as a homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J. Glenn Woodham, a brother John Raymond Short, two sisters Frances Pilcher and Julia Strickland.

Survivors include her son Kenneth Paul Woodham (Pam) of Dothan;  a grandson Matthew Paul Woodham (Isabel) of Dothan; a great-grandchild Asher Hayes Woodham of Dothan; a brother Morris Short (Nancy) of McDonough, GA; special nieces Marilyn Cobb of Dothan and Carol Morgan of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews.
